Cup Semi Final Failure for the Romans this time around!
Unfortunately Wallsend Town Over 16's could not make it two finals in a row as they fell to one of their bogey teams SC Newcastle on Sunday.
In a scrappy game, Wallsend took the lead as a sleak pass through the middle split SC's defence to allow Salad (Chris Marshall) score the games opening goal. However after taking the game to SC, Wallsend could not continue with their efforts and capitalise on their presure. Too many freekicks were conceded along with corners, and eventually this was to be their achilles heel. Two set pieces within five minutes towards the end of the first half gave SC their win. So no visit to Dunston Fed for Wallsend which could have ended up as a local derby against Howdon Social!

Next game is at home on Tuesday 15th April v Duechars. Ko 6pm, Langdale.
