Digging in the Rain!!
volunteers brave the downpours as work on the pitches commences.
Many thanks to the 'fearless few' who turned up in terrible weather to commence work on the improvements of the Langdale pitches. Due to the very poor turn out all of the planned work could not be completed as the brave volunteers fought a running battle with the horrible rain that soaked everybody right through. Despite the awful conditions everybody had a great laugh, all except poor Liam who stood on a nail and had to be helped home. We even had an hilarious visit from the Police complete with blue lights flashing as somebody had phoned them because a ' group of kids were smashing the place up'!!. Pity somebody didn't phone them during the numerous break ins we have had !!. A special thanks must go to our under 10's team who provided 4 players plus 2 older brothers to help out. The brave volunteers were rewarded with pop and crisps free of charge from the tuck shop.

BOOSTER SEAT PLEA
Im sure that you will all be aware that there was a law passed last year that all children under a certain age or height must sit on a booster cushion or safety chair when being taken anywhere by car. This law also effects us and in particular our mini soccer teams, we would ask that if you have any 'old' booster cushions that you are not using or thinking of replacing please contact Andrew Simpson on 07949350202. Thanks

Sporting Leagues RaceNight
Many thanks to all who supported this night at the Newcastle Greyhound Stadium at Brough Park.

We took part in the sporting league event along with Newcastle Garnett Bohemians FC, Morpeth Harriers, Benwell and Wallbottle CC, and Newcastle East End Juniors.
Each club was assigned a trap number (We were given trap 2), and raced out of each trap for the 5 races.
The position the dog finished in translated to the points awarded. 1st 7pts, 2nd 6pts, etc.
The club with the highest points was crowned the GSL Champions and recieved a trophy.
Unfortunately we came joint 2nd (East End won), as we missed out by just a single point.
A great night was had by all especially those who placed bets and won!!!.
Highlight of the night was the 8:04 race which was named in honour of our club. Unfortunately our dog Karl's Crest didn't win the ' Wallsend Town AFC Juniors Stakes' but just like all our teams so far this season gave a gallant effort.
It is hoped that we will be invited to take part again in the near future, I hope we can once again bank on all your support
Many thanks.
